In John Dickinson's second Patent No 3425 of 1811, the cylinder mould is immersed more deeply in the vat (Q). The water from it is carried away in the pipe (GJ). The paper is taken off on the continuous felt (M), which passes between the two sets of press rollers before dropping to the bottom of the machine where it was washed. The cross section shows the retention of the vacuum box (I) under the wire of the cylinder.
