A simple B.E. & S. / 1823 watermark design typical of those used by Steart in his watercolour and drawing papers.
Variant BE & S + DATE watermarks, left hand shows the basic watermark but without full stops (dotted line is join between two papers), right hand shows an unusual configuration including four commas rather than full stops. |
